I’m Leaving Meta Platforms

Beautiful souls, it’s been a while since I wrote a blog post but I haven’t forgotten you all. The Junior Witch and I were ill for most of December, and since then I have been playing catch up with my work. But I am making time to sit down and write this blog post to update you.

Following the announced changes to Meta’s social media platforms and the upcoming change of US president, I have made the difficult decision to leave Meta platforms. Bigotry and hate speech have already increased since the US election (November 2024), and things are only going to get worse once the Orange Clown is back in power. I cannot guarantee that I can keep my FB pages and Instagram accounts a safe space where the bigots and hate speech are not allowed, which means that I cannot protect my community in those spaces from the hate. That is not okay with me.

However, there are still plenty of places on the internet that I cannot guarantee be found, and over the next few days I will be updating my links here (and in the other places I can be found online) to make it easy for those who want to find me. I would also like to remind you that I pay for an upgraded website that allows me to host a Forum, which will remain a safe space for all who need one.

Whatever the future brings, I hope to see both familiar faces and new ones as we work together to build a community and raise funds for the #TempleProject.
